Urethane spacers are inserted atop the factory coilover shocks to level-off the pickup. If you want your truck to maintain the factory nose-down rake, aslo order the 2.5" rear add-a-leaf kit. Since the Expedition sits closer to level (front-to-rear) from the factory our system also includes 2" rear coil spacers. Factory Rear shocks can be re-used, although Superide upgrades are available.

6" Standard System

Lift is achieved via replacement coil springs specific to gas or diesel engines to ensure proper lift height and factory ride quality. In order to obtain the amount of caster correction required for 6" of lift, radius arm lowering brackets are utilized. Other components included with the 6" system are: front compression travel-stop relocation brackets, track bar relocation bracket, drop pitman arm, front anti-sway bar extensions, and a steering stabilizer bracket. Shock options include: Superlift Superide, Superide Select Series by Bilstein (SS), or Superide Select Series Reservoir (SSR) Shocks.

The belly-pan mates to the crossmembers via an interlocking "dovetail" fit and secured with coutnersunk bolts to form an incredbly strong subframe assembly. All load-bearing bracketry is constructed of .25" thick steel plate. An optional stainless steel front skid plate features Superlift's laser-cut "flaming oval" Superlift logo.

The other method includes replacement Superide Select series springs for ride quality that is as good, or better, than factory. Note that the replacement gas springs have 4-leafs and the diesel springs have 5-leafs; more leafs are not needed at this relatively low ride height. For both systems, other components include a new track bar bracket to prevent steering wheel "kick", and front / rear Superide shocks with yellow boots.

Heavier springs are needed for the larger power plants' increased weight, while the lighter-rated gas versions considerable improve the less weighty truck's ride quality.
